Birthday party

The birthday party turned out to be quite a success! Thanks all those who came on time and helped set up! We didn't even have to ask and everyone came together to make it a fun b-day for the twins! We had a mock Cafe Rio, which I have to say turned out to be pretty dang good!

B-day festivities

Joseph is in his last week of school and yesterday was a packed day, so we didn't get to do much, but we did have a little cake, and they got to open a couple of new toys!

My twinsies are one today!!

So here's a short play by play. These guys are the joy of my life! I really can't believe it's been a year since that lovely wintery day when I heard my babies cry for the first time! But also, I'm glad it's been a year because now I feel so much more equipped to handle them. I remember bringing them home and they were so small and fragile and it took a lot of getting used to. Now we just crawl around on the floor and have fun!

Shenanigans

He threw the diaper genie out of the way and grabbed all the books off the shelf, and then stood on them to reach the next shelf. Those boxes are trying to be a barrier, and frankly so was the diaper genie. But they're no match!

One downside to not having real high chairs. Although we really love the space these save, he's still buckled in and he took it all the way into our bedroom! We also have a video, maybe I'll post it later.

California!

We had the awesome opportunity to visit Brad, Tess, Laney and Cali in California a couple weeks ago. We had so much fun, and the twins had a great time playing with Laney (who adores them, esp Lucy) and Cali! When you can fly basically for free and stay with gracious relatives, it's worth the hassle of traveling with babies! Plus, we made all of our stand-by flights, even the last one which we were sure we would miss. Oh, and of course not to forget the gracious relatives who transport you to and from the airport. Thanks Val & Paul!
I thought I had more of the three littluns. They would all stand at this thing and play, it was so cute! I think Brad captured those moments.

She loves her Daddy!

The Beach!

I loved Carmel, it was such a cute little town, and what a beautiful beach!

This is my personal fav.

Brad & Joseph got to throw a frisbee, which they loved. I got some good action shots.

We were so excited about Lucy's hair curling so much when we got to the beach! That little "ponytail" usually sticks straight up!

Course, the beach is pretty taxing when you're only a wee one.
