I got the kids their breakfast one morning and Luke said, "okay Lucy, start eating." For some reason she just didn't start right away, and he said, "I don't wanna start without you!"

I explained fast sunday to Lucy, mainly cause I had said no to some root beer, and of course she said, "but when it's slow Sunday, then we can have root beer and whatever we want.

Luke: When kids are by theirselves and there is a mean dinosaur, then there better be a daddy with a sword. And it would be dark. And then he would have to have someping to protect. (a shield)

We were all too busy playing our own games on New Year's eve so these little girlies decided to get their own game out.

This is our Hogwarts feast! I was McGonagall and got to join Harry, Ginny and Hermione. You can see all the sausages and pies there that we were feasting on. We had just watched the Chamber of Secrets (skipping over the scary parts of course), and I guess the main thing they got from the movie was the feasting in the great hall. Which I can't blame them of course. Reading or watching Harry Potter always makes me hungry.

I can't believe my twinsies are already three! We had a fun day on their birthday and got to do all the stuff they wanted to do.

We went downtown and first we took a trax ride to the Gateway

We got to have McDonald's! What a treat!

Then we went to the Church Museum where they have an awesome section for kids to play. They love this red truck and the fake food and dishes below.

She actually danced this time!

Then we got to see Daddy for a little while!

Then we colored while Daddy went to get the pizza.

They had to wait all day to open their presents!

They wanted a zebra cake this year.

I wanted to post some of the last few months' worth of kid talk:

Luke (after Joseph tried on a suit): Now you're a bishop!

Lucy: The Jaime Ryan is big, big, big!! But the Libbie Ryan is just little.

Luke (to Anna): What about you, Cuteness? Are you on sale? Should we buy you?

Luke: When we turn the light off, what happens? The darkness makes shapes! But when I'm in my room then my darkness will not. But Daddy's darkness, it does.

Lucy: I'm gonna tell you a story. Once upon a time there was a young man, and a bear came out of a tunnel! And a dinosaur came out of the tunnel, too!

Luke (very sweetly to fussing Anna): Hey, remember how I said there's nothing scary in here? So it's okay. (Then he gave her a kiss!)

Luke: Mommy, I need help!

Me: What do you need help with?

Luke: Well, cause I'm small. I'm a small kid.

Luke (after Daddy blew up at him and put him in time out): Well, the truth is, I love you. But I just don't like you to yell very hard at me like that, and put me in timeout.

Luke (to a sad Lucy in bed): You've got Anna and me. There's Anna in her bed, and me over here. So, you're not sad.

Luke (looking at a pic of Anna as a baby): She's so cute, I could just hold her!

Lucy (into her fake phone): Hi Natalie. Oh, no, I can't come with you cause I have kids and they fuss and fuss and fuss and fuss. So I can't come.

Me: You're right, so what can we do?

Disneyland Trip

We left our house at 4:50 in the morning to catch the 6:30 flight to Long Beach. The kids loved their first flight! Then from there we rented a car and went to the beach.

It was 60 degrees when we went to the beach, so we got a little chilly, but the kids loved it and it was all worth it!

We went to Downtown Disney the night before our first day.

It seemed like it took forever to finally be in Disneyland! We flew down on the early morning Saturday flight and then went to the beach that day and then hung around on Sunday, so when Monday finally came, it was very exciting!

The cousins all had so much fun together! Lucy kept calling them her friends.

We bought an annual pass to the zoo this year and it has been so fun! We've gone right at closing when Joseph gets off work and we've loved it!

I can't for the life of me get Luke to pose for a picture, so I had to try and capture it in real time, so this is the best I got. Lucy is always more than happy to pose, even though her "cheese" doesn't do a thing to broaden her smile.

It was fun to be with the Bucheis. The twins always talk about how Tecia is a twin, too!

We got a great deal on annual passes to the Aquarium.

Notice the chest behind Lucy. She told me, "It's a chest and the pioneers took it in the wagon, and the baby would go in it and sleep in it." I guess she remembered a few things about the pioneer museum we went to a few weeks ago. She just jumbled the memory around a little bit.

The West Jordan Parade

Anna just snuggled Grandpa like this the whole time we were at the parade! Which wasn't too long, since we were ridiculously late, but still!

I ran the Freedom Half Marathon. What a great family I have to come cheer me on!

The kids got to play with water balloons and run through the sprinklers at Grandma's house.

Second Desert Trip

This is the Moab trip with the whole Noall family. It was a little hot, but not nearly as bad as we thought it would be. There were some awesome wind caves real close to where we camped that had lots of shade and no bugs! So we spent some time there when we weren't off galavanting.

This was a steep enough ledge that we had to take another route to the arch, since some of the vehicles would surely hit. So of course Joseph wanted to go back this way.

All the adults were freaked out because the kids just didn't realize how close and steep that drop off was!

Tiny tots track meet

The twins got to participate in the tiny tots track meet at East High last night. It's a community track meet for kids ages 2-10. It was so much fun and so cute to see all the kids out there. I debated on whether or not to have them do it, so I asked them and they said they wanted to. Luke said, "You raced and now we are gonna race!"

Moab

We took a very spur of the moment trip for Memorial Day weekend! On Thursday night we talked about doing something fun for the holiday weekend and not letting it pass by, so we talked about Moab, but then decided it wasn't a good idea. But then on Friday morning I got bummed that we weren't going and I couldn't remember why we decided not to go. So we got ready in a rush and left that night and got to camp at 10:00 Friday night. We had such a fun trip with just our little family!

The kids did well on the drive down. Anna slept some, but then she cried for a couple hours. But then when we got to camp all three were sleeping for just enough time for Joseph and I to get the tent all set up. Then they were SO excited to be in our tent! On the way down, before he fell asleep Luke said, "I wanna go home." Joseph and I looked at each other nervously, but then he said, "I wanna go in my tent and it will be my home."

We saw a couple of badgers, so Joseph went out to chase them with the camera and they came back at him hissing and growling all the way.

Ready for lunch. Also, you may notice Luke's nicely combed hair. That was day one. I gave up after that.

Playing in the dirt was one of the most favorite things about the trip for the kids.

A random tunnel we found that was pretty awesome.

I got some pictures of some of the four wheel drive road in Arches. It wasn't really that hard, but Joseph wanted some pics of his Sequoia that he's extremely proud of.

Our campsite. We were worried it might be taken this year, since there were tons of people on the road leading up to it, but as always it was empty, since people can't get their RVs in there.

A beautiful view of the Colorado River. As we drove the beautiful scenic road along the river Lucy said, "Cawful Daddy! Cawful Daddy, so we don't fall into that water and get wet!"

This is an awesome arch we found. There was no name and it wasn't in Arches. If we had any idea where we were at the time, maybe we'd find out what it's called.

Saturday night the wind was so bad that Joseph couldn't sleep cause the tent was blowing so much, so he pulled the truck alongside the tent to block some wind. It helped.

We had a great time at Hollywood Connection when the California Parkers were here! Unfortunately I didn't get any of them in the pictures! And then on the other days that we did some fun stuff I didn't bring my camera. I guess I always figure Grandma/Grandpa and Tess/Brad will cover the picture taking.

We got to go to the Zoo on the last free day in February. It wasn't too cold and not quite as crowded as I thought it would be, so we had a lot of fun! The twins are still talking about it all the time!
Lucy: We saw turtles and peacocks and tigers and Dr. Phillips at the Zoo! (that was true, we ran into our pediatrician by the tiger exhibit.)
Lucy: The tiger pooped.
Luke: Does the tiger poop in the toilet?
Me: Nope, he doesn't know how.
Luke: The tiger doesn't know how, so he poops on the ground, and Dr. Phillips has to clean it up!

I just thought I'd recap the last year with these adorable twins! I'm so thankful to be their mom! I feel so blessed every day that I got to have twins!

Luke & Lucy's Birthday!

A very fun birthday over all! We had pancakes for breakfast and then a little pizza party at night with a few family members. I was glad to have a few people come over so it could be more special for the twins. So thanks for those who came! Especially Natalie who had her wisdom teeth out that morning!

I was pretty proud of my turtle cake for Lucy, especially when she woke up from her nap and before I realized she could see it she said "turtle!"

Now, the lion... when it was time to start it, the party was already beginning and I was in a hurry and less motivated, I said it looked like a bear, but everyone was nice to say it was totally a lion. You can't count on adults to tell the truth. But Luke wanted to see his lion cake so bad so I held him up, and, "Bear!" Leave it to a kid to tell the truth. He still loved it though.

Luke got some gloves and Lucy loved them!

Tyson was very excited about giving Luke & Lucy a Mr. Potato head.

Stripy boys. It's a good thing Luke has a cousin his age so he can have someone to do crazy boy stuff with! I also have a video on this day of the two of them marching around yelling.

Well, Luke knows how to put his own pants on, most of the way.

They love to help me take out the garbage! I was going to do it myself that day, and I told them it was raining and cold, and they were in their jammies, but Lucy grabbed her shoes and insisted.
These bags were actually quite heavy, on account of diapers of course.
It was all fun and laughs until she fell down. Then I had to carry her and the garbage.

Halloween

It's taken me a while to get the Halloween pics up because I had my wisdom teeth out on Monday. These are all from the Friday before. We had a little party at Grandma & Grandpa's and we also joined Christie and Matt at their trunk or treat. Luke is still saying "Christie! trick or treat! hot dogs! buns!" and then Lucy will pipe up with "chips! Matt!"
On Saturday we got to go trick or treating in Joseph's old neighborhood and have a party there. I didn't get any pictures of that night.

I think Addison could've held Anna all night! She's famous for always trying to hold the twins and we are always trying to explain that they don't want to be held, so when I was pregnant I promised her that I would have a baby she could actually hold. I kept asking if she was done, but she'd say no. She loved it!

Luke still occasionally says "Hold you!" to hold Anna. Doesn't last long, but that's not because he's done, but because I think she's had enough poking and petting.

I guess Luke was the horse. He didn't seem to mind though, he kept eating his bread.

Daddy's ankle socks. He puts on every pair of socks and pants he sees. Course, he'll find any piece of clothing and put it on his legs like pants.

Well, it finally happened! Anna Carol Noall came Saturday night at 7:08. She was 9 lbs, 4 oz and 21 inches. It all went so fast that we never got a chance to call anyone until after she came. It only lasted about 5 hours, from my first contractions to the time she was here. We were blessed to have a safe VBAC, due to the fact that I went into labor myself and was able to progress very fast on my own. It was a direct answer to our prayers!

State Fair

Fun times with most of my family at the state fair! Everyone that could go came, except Kellie, who went the night that Boyz II Men came, and got to go backstage! Man, would I have been jealous about 15 years ago! Okay, I was still a little jealous.

These kids love their Bampa! He can almost always distract them out of their misery.

Thanksgiving Point

We had a great time with Val, Tyson & Zach at Thanksgiving point yesterday for their $2 Tuesday deal. The farm country was fun and hopefully very worth it for Joseph who ditched a couple of classes to come with us.
Tyson & Zach did the pony ride, but I didn't think the twins would appreciate it as much, especially since I could hardly get Luke to pet anything.

Camping at Palisade

Christie and Matt let us tag along on their camping trip to Palisade State Park. We had so much fun playing in the water and just hanging out. Plus Christie & I enjoyed visiting the Snow College campus for old times' sake. Not that I have any pics of that. I'm such a poor picture taker. Hopefully Chris will send me hers...

Woohoo for naps on the drive down! They did really well driving, I was so proud of them!

Swimming

We went to the Church Museum on Monday, and I didn't even realize they had such a fun place for kids.
Also, turns out there's a joshua tree outside of the conference center. Who knew?

I thought I'd also throw in this random one. Lucy loves to try on my shoes. The flats are so much easier than the heels!

We don't have any dolls, so they haven't had much baby experience yet. They know that my belly is "beebee," but of course I'm not sure they realize that we're really gonna have our very own baby in our house in two months. I'm excited though that they always notice babies when we see them at the store or wherever. Especially Luke, he's always sure to point them out.

Petting zoo

We went to just an hour of the free day at This is the Place. It was hot and miserable, but the petting zoo made it worth it.

This is when Luke got a little too excited and poked the goat right in the eye. "Eyes!"

4th of July Festivities

Wasn't it great that that the 4th of July lasted 3 days?! We got to spend a lot of time with both sides of the family.

It's a good thing Grandma's ice maker doesn't actually work!

I had just changed his diaper, so that's my excuse for his pantlessness. Although I think it made this picture even better!

Luke thought it was fun to run through the "waaa" (also known as "wawa").

We had a fun time up Ogden canyon on Monday. All of Joseph's family was able to come, which means all 15 grandkids got to play together! I really wish I would have thought to take a picture of all of them.

They wouldn't leave this spout alone, so Joseph let it drip and let Luke play in it until he got soaked.
